Jared is the Chief Operating Officer of Pomeroon, covering the Caribbean region. Educated at the University of Miami, he has worked in Guyana for over 15 years, first in forestry operations and then for regional conglomerate Ansa McAl. He is a keen fisherman.
Duncan is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Pomeroon, and served as CEO from inception until April 2019. Educated at the University of Oxford (BA) and Stanford University (MBA), he has worked in agriculture across the world: meat in the UK, hazelnuts in Bhutan, and fish in the Philippines. His first pet was called Hilda and weighed 300kg.
Neil is the Co-Founder and President of Pomeroon. Educated at the University of Oxford (BA, MBA), Neil served in the British Army before joining J.P.Morgan as an emerging markets banker. He is CEO of an investment bank - Hannam & Partners - focused on natural resources. Every present his daughters gave him since 2017 contained some form of coconut.
David Lammy, MP
David is a Special Advisor to Pomeroon (unremunerated). Educated at Harvard Law School (LLB), David is the Member of Parliament for Tottenham in the UK and served as a Minster in the governments of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. With Guyanese heritage he is well known across the Caribbean most recently speaking up for the Windrush generation. In 2018 David was awarded GQ Politician Of The Year.
Gary is the Estate Manager at Stoll in Guyana. Educated at the Guyana School of Agriculture, he previously worked for the Guyana Rice Development Board and the Demerara Company. His hobbies including bee keeping, Manchester City Football Club and repairing the excavator.
Dr Andrew Watson
Dr Andrew is the Chief Scientist at Pomeroon. Educated at the University of Cambridge (BA) and University of California, Berkeley (Ph.D), Andrew has 46 years of food systems experience. He was worked on tomato processing in China to dairy development in India, and has over 200 published articles. Andrew first visited Guyana in 1961.
Scott is the Financial Controller at Pomeroon. Educated at the University of Otago (BCom) in New Zealand, he worked in London with start-ups building financial processes and systems. Scott is a keen cyclist though hasn’t yet braved the streets of Georgetown on two wheels.
Lisa is the Junior Financial Controller at Pomeroon. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and previously worked with Ram & McRae Chartered Accountants in Georgetown. Lisa loves gardening, reading and fishing on the Demerara River.
Doug is a Consultant and NED-Designate working with Pomeroon on fundraising and market strategy. Educated at Auckland University law School, he worked in capital markets for 11 years before moving into agriculture. Doug’s interests include dairy (UK & New Zealand), cacao (Colombia), coconut processing (Asia) and palm oil (West Africa).
